We’re excited to announce the newest addition to the already extensive range of activities available at Thorrington Scout Camp – Mini Axe Throwing is now available to book!

Designed especially for younger sections such as Squirrels and Beavers, Mini Axe Throwing is a fun, inclusive, and engaging activity that gives young people the chance to try something adventurous in a safe and supportive environment. Using lightweight plastic axes and specially designed target boards, participants can test their aim, challenge themselves, and experience the excitement of hitting the target for the very first time.

Mini Axe Throwing has been created as a fully leader-led activity, making it a fantastic option for groups looking to introduce younger members to exciting new challenges while keeping sessions accessible and age-appropriate. Whether it’s landing a bullseye, building confidence with every throw, or cheering on friends from the sidelines, the activity is designed to be all about fun, encouragement, and participation.

With three target lanes available, there are plenty of opportunities for everyone to get involved and have multiple turns throughout the session. The activity can accommodate up to 12 participants at a time, with each session lasting one hour and costing just £20 per session.

As part of our continued commitment to developing adventurous opportunities for younger groups, Mini Axe Throwing is a fantastic new addition to the Thorrington activity line-up and another great way for young people to create lasting memories during their visit to camp.

Mini Axe Throwing can be added when making your initial booking through our online booking system. Groups with existing bookings at Thorrington Scout Camp can also add the activity by contacting us directly at bookings@thorringtonscoutcamp.co.uk.

We can’t wait to welcome our first groups to step up to the line, take aim, and give it a throw!
